Russell Wilson to Denver

Featured Replies

According to multiple reports, wow!

It’s crazy how many top QBs are in the AFC.

My first thought was, "Oh my the AFC and especially the AFC West is going to be a gauntlet".

My second thought was, "I'm interested to see what Jerry Jeudy and Noah Fant look like with Wilson slinging it to them", but then I saw Fant was headed to Seattle.

Fant, Lock, one other player, 2 firsts, 2 seconds, and a fifth.   Seattle better parlay that into something equal to Wilson or the next coach and GM in Seattle will be in rebuild city.

Based on how much their Legion of Boom defense has fallen off and now Bobby Wagner is gone, how bad their offensive lines has been and their lack of a run game through injuries, I think they are already in the rebuild.

So are we all banking on Wilson being rejuvenated in Denver? He has looked pretty bad the last year and a half.

I think it all depends on the Offensive Line for Denver, which I have no clue how good they are, but Seattle's hasn't been good.  He will certainly have weapons with a solid WR core and I think a stud young RB in Javonte Williams.

I definitely think Seattle is the winner in this trade, assuming they don't blow the draft picks they are getting. They weren't a playoff team with Wilson last year, and this should jump start their rebuild. I'm just not sure how much Wilson has left in the tank.

I'm not going as far to say Seattle won the trade, because if Wilson is back to (or close to) being "Russell Wilson" then it is a no-doubt win for Denver. Seattle has been notorious for having bad offensive line play (Denver was actually ranked 24th per PFF, so not much better), but they were not devoid of weapons. I do think Wilson at the helm had run its course, so might as well start from scratch.

I hear you. But if Wilson isn't close to being back, this trade puts them in a big hole. They definitely need to win "now".
