2007 Bellevue

What does Bellevue need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

1. Build up numbers if possible. It is a struggle to have a Frosh team and a JV team but if they want to get on Beechwood's level that is what is needed. Also helps out in practice when you have more players.

2. Find a QB that can throw the ball. Even if it means taking your best receiver, lineman, rusher, and letting him be the QB and not playing that much defense.

3. Find team/coaching chemistry whereby coaches believe in players and players believe in coaches and everyone is working towards a common goal.

4. Since the size hasn't been there lately then use the speed on offense and defense.

5. Upgrade the schedule as much as is possible. Probably not a lot large NKY teams interested in playing but if they could get/keep Holy Cross, NCC, Newport, maybe a Scott or Holmes and add a one or two good A /AA /AAA state teams that would nicely complement the Ludlow, Dayton, Brossart, Beechwood district games.

They are going to have a pretty big line next year with Adam Bowling, Bob Burns, josh Mac, and some others i dont know there name. I think if they stick to the run wiich im pretty sure they will they could have a good season. Also they had alot of yong kids coming back with experince next year witch helps alot. Im also thinking they need to find a good running back but im not sure what they have returning at the spot.

If they stick to the run they can have a good season and finish runner-up in the district (maybe). If they want to have a great season (knock off Beechwood) they will have to throw the ball.

Won't Babb be the returning QB? He seemed to have some promise at that spot with his size and speed. They really need to work with him in the offseason so they have other options outside of Buck, Slam and O-lead.

Can anyone post Bellevue's schedule?

Derek Bryan and Ricky Buckler will provide some speed to the skill positions and one of them should emerge as a strong running back. Babb will be infinitely more qualified at the QB position after a year of experience. He has a great arm but needs work reading the D. The offensive and defensive lines will be experienced, decent sized and strong. They will absolutely HAVE to find some answers in their secondary, they were toasted by any QB/WR combination that was remotely on the same page last saeason. Last but not n least, replacing D Coach Niederman will be very, very difficult in my opinion. Also, there are suitors making ovations to Coach Eckstein and the Tigers really need to keep the coaching consistency going.

why did Niederman leave? He is an Eckstein crony isnt he? Who is in the running for Def. coordinator?

I would think that Bellevue will do well with the new district. Obviously, Beechwood is the team to beat. The playoffs seem a certainty, and once you are there, a surprise or two and who knows?

Can anyone post Bellevue's schedule?

Bellevue has non-conference games against: Lloyd, Newport, Paris, NCC, and Gallatin County

Bellevue will be good.

Bellevue will be good.
What would you consider "good".
What would you consider "good".

Like have a good line and a good QB.

Like have a good line and a good QB.
