If Corbin wanted to play Bell they would make it work. Obviously they do not want to. Its a shame that Corbin and Mboro won't play Bell anymore. I don't know why they are doing this. I don't think that Corbin minds playing good competition, obviously they don't. I just don't think they want to get beat by a rival like Bell County year in and year out. Bell has won what, the last 4 games theyve played? Maybe more. This was a great rival from the time Coach Hilton got to Bell until recently as the teams were going back and forth.

Bell has won three straight and 4 out of the last 7 games with Corbin.

Didn't he leave the team during the season and come back?

I dont believe he ever actually left the team. I believe he just missed a couple practices. I maybe wrong on that, but that was my understanding.

Go support Dudley.

If our program doesn't improve ,that is where I headed. You say True Redhound, stand up for the kids, my son will miss the chance of beating Bell and the fans miss the chance of seeing a great game. Lex Cath. was a horrible atmosphere last year, they brought about 50 people to the game.

OK, True Redhound. You seem to know all the reasons behind Jewells decisions, so tell us exactly why he refuses to play Bell County, and why everyone in the program should support that decision??

LexCath did not play Corbin this past season. I believe you are referring to LCA or Lexington Christian. LexCath would bring a hugh following.

Bell County always has a quality program. Although Im not sure I dont feel that their final game repersented them as well as it should have, and thats taking nothing away from RockCastle. Bell will be a contender next year, they like Ashland have had a murderous district to get out of. Im not sure how things work out now. But good luck to Bell County on a great year of Football next season.

Eastern Kentucky is repersented well,

Yoter

Dominique Is an incredible athlete he could of as a 8th grader started for a lot of high school varsity teams.

I've not heard anything about him leaving Bell County and IMO he will be wearing Bell County blue next season although I would love to see him wearing Yellow and Black.:D

You are right! If the INT does not happen at end of the first Bell/Rockcastle game with 2 minutes to go on 10 yard line then Bell wins regular season and the second game would have been on Log Mountain. Might have been different outcome. Also the 3 INT's all in the endzone in the 13-0 loss in District Championship at Rockcastle could easily have swung game the other direction. J. Dozier, key defender with INT in first game, was injured early in first quarter and was out rest of second game, a huge loss for Bell. All in all, Rockcastle had the better team this year, that is for sure. We congratulate them! However, I just wanted to point out how close Bell was even though highly undermanned on the OL and DL to winning both games. Next year Rockcastle should be competitive, but will not be able to manhandle teams, including Bell, as they have for the past two years with that huge line. Next year with the reorganization, Bell has a great chance to win District and Region. Nelson returns as the starting QB for fourth year! Zachary is becoming a great receiver. T.R. Christopher will have a great Senior year. Junior RB Spencer Greer will be a rushing and return force; Junior Kicker, Monte Merrick, was kicking touchbacks nearly every kickoff by mid-year as Sophomore, hit game winning field goal against Corbin, and punted several balls over sixty yards. Looking at another year for these outstanding sophomores to be in weight room getting ready! Bell is looking for two or more years of solid football to come in 2007 and 2008.

You can never predict exactly what will happen. But the future for Bell Co football looks brighter right now than it has in a while really. There is a lot of talent coming up every year for the next few years.

Did you know Belfry scheduled tryed to schedule Bell and they wouldnt because of distance. But yet after that they scheduled a game at Sheldon Clark. And that isnt false information came from the head of Belfrys' staff. I dont know why they didnt want that game and Im not saying they are chicken or nothing but that game would have been a great home-away game with two traditioned teams.

From what I have heard, Bell has had the Sheldon Clark game in the makings for a long time now. The 2 teams have been trying for a while now to schedule each other and its just now working out.

I wished they could have worked out a game with us. That would have been a great game for fans and helpful to both teams.

According to Coach Hilton, Bell is still looking for games, wonder if Belfry has an open date?

THey talked earlier but Bell schedule didnt meet Belfrys opening and it just couldnt be worked out. From what I hear Belfry has finalized their schedule now just havent got all the contracts back. I heard our last two games are at East Jessimine and then we host Johnson Central.

But I do think down the road most Belfry and Bell fans would like to see this rivarly revisited. I mean I have nothing but respect for them and always cheer for you guys and would be honored to have Belfry get to play them again. I miss the old Belfry and Bell games.
