Players found out about him going to Notre Dame right before the team banquet when ESPN came on and announced it as breaking news. BK entered the room 15 minutes later with two police officers wearing a navy suit and yellow tie, told them he was taking the ND job, then left. 

UC was undefeated and getting ready to play Florida in the Sugar Bowl. He took all of his assistants with him and left UC to be coached by a bunch of Grad assistants as position coaches and Steve Stripling as Interim HC. 

To this day, Marty Gilyard still hasn't spoke to him and a lot of the 2009 team wanted nothing to do with him when they were all brought back to be inducted in to the UC hall of fame and BK was apart of the halftime ceremony.

He has always been arrogant and all about himself. People forget he had a kid die on his watch when he forced him to go up in a 40 foot scissor lift to film practice in 50 mph winds.

I've not forgotten. When that event occurred, I was out.

Wow, Dan Wolken held back no punches. Kelly's departure mirrors the stories we have heard in the past on coaches leaving in the dark of the night, so this too will be forgotten like all other coaches that have left in similar fashion... albeit different circumstances with his team in the hunt.

Obviously Brian Kelly can coach. But I found his demeanor and bully behavior downright alarming and it turned me off from being a committed Notre Dame football fan. He just seems like a bad person.

It's a business, people need to remember that. As a ND fan, it doesn't bother me in the least.
