In the Courier Journal this morning, Jason Frakes did a brief preview of the game and made mention of the six defenders out for St. X probably won't be available for this game either. I know Monks played some against Male at DL, so while I don't think he was part of the six featured in the article write up against Male, having him added to the depth chart creates more depth headed into the middle part of the schedule.

Pulling for the Tigers, but I don't think they have enough to win.

I think this Elder team is getting a boost because of the name. They're going to be a solid team, but if this St. X team is as good as fans think they are or they want to continue talks of a rematch with Male then this is a game they're going to win. 

But I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow night.

Elder is no chumps. Ohio has a lot of depth being a football state. Elder would be #6 in KY by Calpreps. Their losses are to #2 and #5 in Ohio. They handled Covington no problem. Elder's QB can throw the ball around with St.X defense down starters not going to be easy. I think St.X can win but I think this will be close came and Elder is capable of winning.

They're a top program, and they play hard. In the preseason, I thought this would probably be a loss for St. X. But watching a few clips of Elder, there's no reason why St. X should not be able to beat them all things being equal.

Radio tonight on 1080 AM. Getting bumped from 790 due to UofL game.

Little Tiger Night will be held tonight as well; should be another good crowd. 

I don't think this is an ideal time to be playing Elder (although that game with St. Ed's was closer than the score indicates for much of the game), and while being at home is a huge advantage for St. X, I do think Elder wins by 7 points or so.  I think the Panthers' defense will prove to be a bit more stout than some on here are expecting.

Not an ideal time for St. X to play anybody with all starters out on D but by District play should be in much better position. I agree Elder is more stout than what people think. I plugged Elder into my KY computer ratings since played Covington Catholic and it showed Elder by 4.
