I'll take St. X, but closer than most in here think. There's a recent precedent for Central hanging with the Tigers and even beating them. Coach Dantzler believes there were opportunities to pull away from Manual last week, if only they finished drives. Maybe they finish some drives against a banged up St. X defense this Friday.

You know the Jackets can play some defense of their own. I think a low scoring game favors Central.

One thing not in Central's favor is the heat since have some guys go both ways. I'll say St.X 28-12. Central went for 2 instead of kicking extra point last week so I assume don't have much of a kicker.

Do I think St. X wins this game? Yes. I just have a feeling it may not be very smooth. Most of that comes from the depth of the St. X defense and the toll injuries are currently playing with that group. Central has a big OL that can cause some problems for St. X front seven, especially if St. X's typical starters are out. It could be similar to last week in terms of St. X being able to be efficient on offense, but may struggle getting consistent stops on defense. There is something the Tiger defense doesn't have to worry about and that is there being a Gavin Wimsatt at QB. I can see a 35-8 win for the Tigers, but it may be closer than the score would indicate. 

I think St X is going to play it pretty vanilla this week.  With the Male game coming up next week, I don't think Coach Wallace is going to want to show a lot on film and just grind this one out, keep as many healthy as possible and move on.  Watch the Manual film, do what they did on defense and use their rushing attack to control the clock and grind down a good but thin Central squad on a hot night.

I'm sure they have some wrinkles they could use against Central, but like you said I'm sure they'll try to save those for the Male game.
