Pretty solid stats. After a couple of rough years, hopefully Bracken County is back on the uptick. Several winnable games in the next few weeks.

Ludlow Stats

290 yards rushing great first win of the season.

Newborn 134 yards rushing 2 tds plus 13 tackles

O’Brien  124 yards rushing 1 td plus 8 tackles

Coming off of their last year's downturn, Bracken County must be thrilled with their ability to go to Ludlow and give the Panthers a good game on the road.

I'm happy for them.  Both the Polar Bears and Panthers are on our (Brossart) schedule, so we have a vested interested in both of these teams.

I saw this video on Twitter.  Can someone explain it?

“Blatant 12th man coming on the field during a crucial kick, down by 1 score in the 4th quarter by Ludlow in the @brackencounty vs Ludlow”

That is a crazy play. Definitely 12 men on the field. Impact on the game? Zero.

Not agreeing or disagreeing really but why do you feel it had zero impact on the game? They kicked a ball into a dead area. It appears to be a bait and switch type of deal. Bait the kick and bring the kid in.

Where that ball hit, zero chance Ludlow doesn't recover it or it bounces out of bounds.

Maybe. I’ve seen some crazy stuff happen over the years. We’ll never know due to tactic used.

I think the chances of you being right that Ludlow purposely planned it that way is very slim.  The more likely cause is probably a player on the sideline looked and saw no one in that spot, and thought they only had 10 and were missing a guy. That is a much more realistic scenario, than thinking it was a bait and switch type deal as you suggest.

You could be completely right. Like I said I’ve seen a lot of strange things happen. Kids, coaches and officials do strange things at times. Special teams is always an adventure especially with smaller or younger roster sizes. Kids space out and forget they are on a special teams unit and there was a substitute so both or neither go out the next time.

Appears was the best term I knew to use. That wasn’t an indication that I felt it was completely planned out. Heck if it was, while illegal, is one heck of a plan. To give comparison if a team at the end of a game had 12 defenders in on their goal line defense I would make the comment that it appears as if they used Buddy Ryan’s special goal line defense. Not saying the team did and only that it looks like it.
