Jenkins is coming back from a program on mothballs for a couple of years. With open dates overlapping with other small schools, hopefully they can fill out some more of their schedule, if even with Jenkins Varsity vs. JV games.

I’m assuming they took a pause because of lack of participation does anyone know how many players they are expecting to come out this year.

Jenkins is hosting Montcalm (WV) on Friday, October 8.

Jenkins is at Jackson County on October 15. If I were guessing, I'd say they're playing Caverna on September 17 but haven't seen anything confirmed.

Bracken County announced that they are looking for a Week 1 game. That means they're off with Jenkins for Aug 21.

It’s at least a little odd that this afternoon Bracken County said they need a game for August 20 and at 8:50pm on the same day Jenkins updates their KHSAA schedule showing a game with Bracken. Which one is it?

Add to this: they appear to have added their game with Unaka (TN) but didn't add their games with the West Virginia or Virginia teams.

It appears Jenkins may be done for the season. Last week’s game with Fort Knox was canceled. Now the KHSAA site is showing canceled games with Montcalm (WV), Floyd Central, Twin Springs (VA), and Unaka (TN) over the rest of the month. It appears the Cavaliers gave restarting their program a try but it isn’t working out.

I checked the stats from the last game they played & they only had 16 players active on the team for that game.  

I would say that injuries/covid/quarantining or a combination of that has wiped them out.
