Smith pitched for WV and took the loss.Walked 3, hit a batter, gave up 4 hits and struck out 3 in 2 2/3 innings. Portwood finished the game.

The walks hurt but Scott did hit the ball well and didn’t get anything cheap against Smith. 
 

Grant Proffit pitched 6 innings and got the win for Scott, and Casey Hilbert pitched the 7th for the save. Scott turned a big triple play and two double plays to get out of 3 jams. Scott is playing really good ball right now.

I could tell by the picture, who WV’s starting pitcher was.

Hearing Smith may have some injury issues right now....hope he's ok as we head towards the post-season and MLB Draft.
