Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted April 20, 2021 Share Posted April 20, 2021 Smith, a 6'4" linebacker/defensive end/edge has taken advantage of Kentucky's new re-do law and has reclassified to be a member of the class of 2024. In his freshman year (2019) he had 55 total tackles, 4.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles in addition to rushing 45 times for 296 yards and 4 TDs. This past season (2020) he saw much more limited action on offense, only rushing 12 times for 73 yards and 1 TD, but on defense he tallied up 66 total tackles, 8 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery (returned for a TD), and 1 INT. It’s odd for a Kentucky kid to have ACC, PAC-12, and SEC offers... but none from any school in the state. Or within a 6 hour drive from home for that matter. Not saying that's why they have the offers because they're great kids with tremendous talent, but saying that's why the places seem a little different.
