Being the region's runner-up does put a bit of a bullseye on your team.

Elliott County (0-1) will be fine. The 62nd district is probably, at this point, the most competitive district in the 16th Region with East Carter (2-0) in district play. Morgan County(1-1) and West Carter (0-1) are both experiencing problems scoring but by seasons' end this hopefully will be erased, making for a competitive end of the season.

I think you're right now that I think back on it. That makes Elliott 1-1 in district play.

East Carter went to the basket last night and got to the Free Throw line and didnt miss many from there. From what I heard the Refs were terrible both ways last night. Elliott needs to regroup over the break and get ready for Jan 2 vs East Carter.

There are no team issues with the group from Elliott County. If you had a game film to look out, you can count 15 points or more that Elliott County missed out of JUST off missed lay ups and free throws. East is a good ball club and earned this win, but it wasnt because Elliott County has any type of team issues.

You can bet that when Elliott County travels to Grayson the game will be a barn burner just like last night. Elliott County will be ready to play, make no mistake about it. It will be an intersting and entertaining game.

may not be no "team" issue but "I" saw Elliott players arguing over not getting the ball when they were wide open saying they were more open and closer than player who did recieve the ball!!! I also will say Elliott played helter skelter in 4th quar. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that is mine. Now Ill end with saying I'm not to upset because seven games in last year they were 5-2. Seven games in this year they are 4-3. Just one game difference. Change Russell to Owsley this year and we would be 5-2 again.
