Hold on BGP basketball fans! I’ve got the solution!

There are 270 teams in the state. So I say we divide it into 135 divisions with two teams in each. It would start with division 1A (little schools like Covington Latin) all the way up to 135A (big schools like Scott County). This way every team gets to compete against someone their own size and, best of all, EVERY team is guaranteed to make the finals. I also say we do away with keeping score! With everybody making it to Rupp, and with no scoreboard, no team will get their feelings hurt.

Better yet, when each game is complete, we let both teams cut down the nets,  followed by all getting a participation trophy, a t-shirt that says “I’m awesome”, a Happy Meal, a group hug, and both teams singing Kumbaya My Lord in unison. Gives you goosebumps just thinking about it, doesn’t it? 

Then I say we find more money for every community to post a sign at its city limits saying something like “Welcome to Mayberry. Home of the State Champion Mayberry Bulldogs!”

With flashes of brilliance like this, maybe I should’ve went to Cov. Latin!!!

Any mention, discussion, and media regarding politics or political figures is expressly prohibited on BluegrassPreps. Keeping in mind BGP's core purpose as a sports-discussion community, discussion of the the managing bodies specifically serving over high school, college, amateur, and professional sports leagues (KHSAA, NCAA, IOC, MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL et al), along with the officers, officials and the titles held by the individuals within those organizations is permitted on BGP. Similarly, high school and college/university administrators and officials, when discussed in a strictly non-political manner, are all permissible on BGP.
