Need a ref for the answer

Really, since when? Virtually every play on the field is a judgement call. In the ref's judgement his forward progress was not stopped when he fumbled.

LOL!!!!! Ah, sorry again. Learn officaiting mechanics, terminology, and keys. Good night!!!!!!!

People are talking about this call because it had a huge effect on the game. I don't think anyone ever said it was the sole reason Russell lost this game. Geese, do I sense a guilty conscious?.

Nope no guilty conscious here. But apparently you missed the quote that I originally redponded to. It definitely does seem to say that this "ONE" call was the reason Mercer won. Or am I just being overly sensitive?

Actually this ONE call did win a game, unfortunately. Not that we didn't have more opportunity, but just had to say I have seen several games where one call won/lost a game. Especially in high school football.
This seems to be a typical response from you. I never said anything negative about Mercer or any of Mercer's players. You have your opinion and it obviously differs from mine. I wasn't trying to tell you what your opinion was, I was just merely trying to get you to look at the situation through clear glasses. That's all. I see now that was just asking a bit too much. If you don't agree with me than that's fine but don't attack me because you are defensive about the subject. That's just a bit ridiculous. Grow up. I'm done with you.

Go back and look. I responded to JFLDADS comment. You are the one who attacked me.

The game was played 3 weeks ago...It has become a DEAD HORSE...Bad call or not, the refs did not cost Russell the game...Just like last year, I'm sure that many Newport fans felt they were as good or better than Russell but we beat them when it counted & went on to win the championship...This year Mercer beat us when it counted...Maybe many Russell fans feel we were better but 1 game decides who wins the championship, not a 7 games series...

Let It Go!!!!!!!!!

I find that your posts have been just as biased and slanted as others you accuse. I think you have a legitimate complaint but as coldweather fan pointed out there was an objectionable non call that led to a Russell TD. Both of these calls are seen differently in the eyes of the fan.

Many of you need to keep the discussion on the topic and not on each other.
