The 4A #15 ranked Holmes Bulldogs visit Newport Central Catholic riding a five game win streak.  The 1A #6 ranked Thoroughbreds look to rebound after a crushing defeat by the Beechwood Tigers.

I like Holmes in this game, who do you think wins?

The scores against common opponents suggest this could be one of the week's best games. That'll depend partly on whether or not NewCath can scrape itself off the turf after getting flattened by Beechwood.

This is a big game for each, for slightly different reasons. The 'Breds need a confidence boost that might help put the Beechwood loss behind them and prepare them for a deep playoff run. Holmes doesn't want anything to disturb their current mojo, because, unlike NewCath, the Bulldogs could be in for a dawg fight or two to win their district playoff games.

Calpreps likes Newport Central Catholic, 21-14. That score seems about right, although it wouldn't surprise me if its Holmes on the top end.

I have watched NCC play twice and I am very unimpressed, I am sticking with the Bulldogs. 

I think NCC wins a close one.

I think NCC rebounds and gets a W but it wont be easy. Should be a game.
