Words cannot describe this game, but I will try.

• 93 total points.
• Duration of the game similar to a NFL game.
• 2 safeties (one by each team)
• 4 touchdowns for HC RB/DB Jerimiah Hicks - 3 rushing, 1 INT TD (2 total INT).  He rushed for 122 yards on 20 carries.
• LaVarr Jones had another solid game with 15 carries for 83 yards and a TD.
• 4 INT TD for HC, but 3 actually counted - Brady Spencer, Hicks and Ja'Marion Goodson. 
• Brandon McClendon had a KR TD to open the game, but his INT TD was called back.
• Ludlow QB Austin Daniels was 11-26 for 243 yards and 2 TDs, but 5 INTs.
• Ludlow RB Braxton Newborn had 165 yards and 2 TDs on 17 carries.
• Ludlow WR Brogan O'Brien had 7 catches for 166 yards and 2 TDs. 
• Holy Cross - 13 penalties for 143 yards (4 unsportsmanlike conduct). 
• HC had a chance for a running clock, but Ian McDonald hit the upright with an extra point attempt.

Covington Holy Cross (2-6) will probably be looking for a game next Friday night due to the Scott COVID-19 situation while Ludlow (3-5) stays on the road to take on Gallatin County (4-3).

Never seen or heard about a kid like McClendon having so many career returns for TDs called back. I swear it’s at least 1 a week. It’s staggering, and gotta be a record of some kind. Illustrates how he is on a completely different level than everything else on the field.

I really don't know how he does it.  He will either stop and change direction or he will run into a crowd of tacklers and elude all of them.

How many of those returns became TD's because of the penalty? Rhetorical question to the two of you. But I would be shocked if none of those returns were TD's because of a hold or block in the back that gave McClendon that small gap he needs to use his speed and talent to turn it into a TD.

He is a very fast and talented player. Anyone who has seen him play recognizes that. He is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

I can tell you from watching him that the majority of the time, the penalty happens away from ball, other side of field, etc. Penalties that have zero impact on play. Discipline issues on special teams.  Just my two cents from watching in person. 

I agree with LoudenSwain that very few of penalties aided McClendons return TD's. Just a very fun to watch the young man  play the game.

It was nice to see the Indians with most if not all of their players healthy last night.  They have not been at full strength since game one.

Does HC have a player going to Penn State??

not to my knowledge

I cannot see any of the boys on the team going to a D1 school

 

Was watching the video of his return against ludlow, and before he celebrated he look back too make sure that it wasn’t a flag! That’s not good
