Pikeville looks to further establish a RPI portfolio that will be hard for any 1A team to compare to as they seek their second consecutive win over a 6A school in successive weeks. Last week Pikeville defeated Henry Clay in a thriller led by a double state record performance by Junior WR Zach Lockhart when he hauled in 17 receptions for 388 yards and 7 TD's. The Panthers added over 200 yards on the ground for good measure. Between this victory and Pikeville's big win over 3A Belfry, the Panthers are certainly setting a hard pace for any 1A team to follow who hopes to earn the top overall seed in the RPI and a win over Campbell County will only help to cement that.

Campbell County looks to right the ship after back to back losses. The Camels fell to Oldham County 17-14. These two teams have never met before. The only time Campbell County has ever played a team from Pike County was a 7-0 victory over Belfry in the 1998 Pike County Bowl.

The #1 ranked 1A Pikeville Panthers visit Alexandria to take on the 6A Campbell County Camels.

Pikeville is undefeated and the clear number one team in 1A.  They have victories over 3A #2 Belfry, 1A #7 Raceland, and 6A Henry Clay in a shootout last week.

Campbell is 1 - 2 with a win over Cooper and losses to Conner and Oldham County.

Can Campbell compete in this game at all or will it be all Pikeville Friday night?

Pikeville must have a good travel budget two straight weeks of traveling to Lexington and then up to Northern Kentucky this week.?

To beat Pikeville you will need to have long sustaining drives and no turnovers. Best way is to keep the ball away from them. Campbell can compete, but they must do these things to do so.

I look for Campbell to challenge the passing game. And try to limit time of possession.

Campbell will have mix things up on offense.  Their offensive playbook to this point, has become stale.

I feel as this matchup will be completely lopsided. Pikeville’s offense is far superior than the Defense of the camels.

I haven't been to a game yet this year. Can you purchase tickets or is it parents only?

As of the last notice I saw from Campbell County, they were limiting ticket sales to "parents/guardians of the event participants."

Maybe since Pikeville is traveling such a long distance, I may get in..

Pikeville 8 Campbell 0

Pikeville 8 Campbell County 6

Halftime.

Campbell County down to the Pikeville one on a scramble, pass, and long run.
