September 27, 20205 yr Author Terrible pitch there by DeSclafani on 0-2 count he threw it about 2 foot from where the catcher wanted it.
September 27, 20205 yr Author Desclafani's era was 7.04 going into tonight he probably has raised that a little.
September 27, 20205 yr Author Reds go down in the top of the 9th with 3 straight strikeouts with 2 of them called. Reds lose 7-3.
September 27, 20205 yr Author I don’t see how Bauer can NOT win the Cy Young: NL Ranks: ERA - 1.73 - 1st. OPP AVG - .259 - 1st WHIP - 0.79 - 1st k/game - 9.1 - 1st shutouts - 2 - 1st

Degrom was 21-17 the last 2 years total and won both years Mets finished 4th and 3rd those 2 years Hard to penalize Bauer for the Reds inept hitting, should’ve EASILY WON 7-8 games
September 27, 20205 yr Author Pretty impressive finish guys!!! 6-3 against White Sox, Brewers and Twins, pretty dadgone impressive!!!! Now gone win it all!!!
September 27, 20205 yr I wonder if it would made any difference in the seedings if St. Louis were forced to play those two games against Detroit tomorrow. We will never know.

The good news is the Reds are on the opposite side of the bracket from the Dodgers so maybe it is ok. NL Central with 4 teams of the 8 NL playoff teams. Strong. Reds in the strongest division and end up with the 5th most wins in the NL. It took a while to get things going but they got it done.

What if the Reds would’ve went 32-28 instead, would they have made them play??
September 28, 20205 yr The way I saw it if the Cardinals would have lost both games the Reds would have ended ahead of them for second place. It is not fair at all to the Reds, but I do like being opposite of the Dodgers. Cardinals would have finished 30-30 while the Reds would have been 31-29. A tie would have went to the Cardinals as they beat the Reds more head to head. It is post season time!!!!! LETS GO WIN IT REDLEGS!!!!!!
