Boyle County 51 Mercer County 7

After an exchange of punts Boyle got the offense unleashed and never looked back. It was 41-0 at the half and 51-0 before Mercer got a score with roughly 4 minutes left in the game. From what I could tell via the game recap Boyle had big games from RB Will McDaniel and WR Cole Lanter. QB Jagger Gillis had a very good outing in his Boyle County debut. The Rebel D was stout per the usual and Justin Haddix is 1-0 as the head coach of his new squad.

Boyle had little trouble with a Mercer team that is much better that it performed on Friday. The offense performed really well after the first series. And the the defense was tough all during the game. Boyle is a very good team, but must now go on the road for three tough games in a row. I am sure Coach Buchanan will get Mercer on the right track. A good first win for Boyle and Coach Haddix looking toward a long and successful career at BC.
