Coach Hines of Pulaski County was disappointed when the scheduled bowl game featuring two of the top programs from EKY of the past 10 years as cancelled. After Henry Clay backed out, Hines was able to get his wish as the Maroons will visit Belfry to break in the new turf.

Belfry enters as the defending Class 3A Champs and will have some big holes to fill but also return some elite level playmakers. Belfry returns two way star Brett Coleman who is committed to Miami (OH) and Mr. Football watch-list candidate Isaac Dixon.

Pulaski had a disappointing year by their standards in 2019, but should show improvement with a host of experience back including one of the top players in the State in Purdue Commitment Tristan Cox.

Belfry has never lost to a team from Pulaski County and you have to go back to 1997 to see the last time Belfry lost to a team from the Southern Kentucky region.

I'm expecting Dixon, Coleman, and a strong group of returning Belfry offensive linemen to punish a Pulaski defense that lost a lot in the front seven, especially at linebacker. Cox might have 20+ tackles defending Belfry's option attack.

Give me the Pirates by about three scores.

HALF

Belfry 21

Pulaski County 7

Belfry has scored on all four possessions. The last drive they settled for a FG, but not for a lack of effort from Isaac Dixon who made a circus catch in the endzone but was just out of bounds. Dixon with a superb half with several big runs, athletic plays, and wow moments including reversing the field.

Pulaski has had some sustained success by taking the short passing stuff Belfry is giving them. Their run game is non-existent aside from the scrambling of Polsten at QB who has played well.

Pulaski has turned it over on downs twice, once on a failed fake punt. Belfry gets the ball out of the break.
