Graves County Girls Basketball Coach Brandon Fisher -- The 2020 Paducah Sun All-Purchase Coach of the Year -- has been named the new Girls Basketball Coach at Lincoln County High School.

In only one season at Graves, Fisher led the Lady Eagles (26-6) to a 3rd District Title and a 1st Region Title game appearance.

Fisher has a Kentucky girls varsity basketball coaching record of 104-30.

Somewhat of a surprise that he left Graves. They have some talent coming up.

Very impressive overall record. Other than Graves, where else in Ky. has he coached?

Webster County, head girls’ coach.

Before that he was a boys’ assistant coach at Henderson and Marshall Com.

Thank you, Sweet 16.

Should say Marshall County.

Good coach. He can be abrasive which may explain the inability to lay down roots for a long coaching stay.

He won't be at Lincoln County long if he's like that!

He got really angry after the region title game at the refs. This might be why he left. He really had good reason to be angry.

Hearing things in Lincoln County are off to a terrible start with the new coach. Heard 10 girls have already quit one week before the season starts.

YIKES.  That's not a good look at all.  Lincoln is the powerhouse of this district too.

Some interesting stories showing up on social media about the goings on at Lincoln County right now.

Just did some digging myself and if true, these stories are not good.  Things have been weird about this post for a year anyway as it was unclear why they got rid of the last coach.

Glad to hear Coach Fisher is at least not doing anything illegal as head coach at Lincoln County.

From the superintendent of Lincoln County Schools "I suspended Coach Fisher with pay while our staff conducted the interviews and discussions with players and staff. That is normal procedure for a superintendent when it is determined an investigation is needed to look into alleged employee actions. Upon the conclusion of the investigative report, it was concluded no criminal activity had taken place. I determined it was appropriate for Coach Fisher to return to his position as head coach and gave him a formal letter listing the district’s expectations on December 22nd."
