Four Ohio schools, wow!

That's a really, really challenging schedule for the 'Neers. Good on them.

Along with Johnson Central and Highlands!

I agree CWB, I think that is the most challenging Simon Kenton schedule ever, good job Coach Marksberry.

Plus scrimmage St.X.

That's a really, really challenging schedule for the 'Neers. Good on them.

Do the Neers have 3 district games? Ryle, Dixie and Campbell County?

Yessir.

Covington Catholic has officially released their updated schedule, and includes a game against Simon Kenton in Independence on October 30th. Ross (OH) had to be dropped since it's in Butler County, and doesn't share a border with the state of Kentucky - so not eligible for competition against a KHSAA member school in the 2020/2021 school year.

Current Simon Kenton schedule:

Sep 11 at Highlands
Sep 18 - OPEN
Sep 25 vs. Johnson Central
Oct 2 at Russell
Oct 8 at Dixie Heights (District)
Oct 16 at Campbell County (District)
Oct 23 vs. Ryle (District)
Oct 30 vs. Covington Catholic
Nov 6 at Bryan Station

Go figure.  Simon Kenton schedules 4 Ohio schools and now doesn't get to play any of them.  I do like the game against Cov Cath though.

So that's a big fat "NO" on playing schools in Ohio?  District guidance?

It's a state guidance not to play teams from other states that aren't located in a county that borders Kentucky. So that would have eliminated Edgewood and Ross if my Ohio geography is correct.

I'm wondering if the Kenton County school district will push games back to the start of school.
