Highlands vs. Newport 12/8

Recommended Posts

Highlands finally opens the 2006-2007 basketball season with a home game against Newport. Have not heard much about either of these teams during the preseason. What kind of game can be expected?

Newport has a mix of nice inside and out. I hear the Mcintosh kid can play down low....Hesch will probably work the point and they have Freshman Phenom Arkansa Brewer in their lineup. The Tolson kid came out of nowhere to drop 20 the other night. It wont be a cakewalk:p

However, I think the Birds handle them. Simpson and McGraw will get their double digits in scoring, the big fellas will control the boards and watch out for Drew Simons to turn some heads this season.

Is this game on radio or internet? I am stuck at home tonight?

You oughta come to a 7th/8th grade game sometime.... you talk about frustrating to watch with all the turnovers, missed layups, missed ft's, pounding the air out of the ball with heads down...but last nights wins may have been a turn for the better....
