And if your principal calls you into his/her office and says, "Your presence is required." You still going to skip out? Does that show a lack of respect for the coaches position by you? He is a leader of that team who showed no respect for the coach's requests. Would I expect NBA players, especially the one to log major minutes to go hard for every second of practice? No, but that was Brown's call, he made it and AI indicated by his actions he didn't care what Brown wanted. I have a hard time with that. Now if he would have come out later and recanted and apologized, different story. But my understanding, he probably feels he was right to ignore the request from his boss. He normally went to practice. He didn't make a habit out of skipping practice. He didn't say a word about his coach in the "practice" speech. He questioned the media for questioning him about practice. Do you really need 24 hours of PD because I freaking don't. It's a waste of my time. The practice rant had nothing to do with Brown and everything to do with the media calling AI out about it after the game.

December 14, 200619 yr FYI...per the ESPN Insider Info: A source said yesterday that the Nuggets might be trying to involve a third team, the Portland Trail Blazers, in the deal. The proposed trade would send forward Nene to the Trail Blazers, who then would ship center Jamaal Magloire to the Sixers. The Nuggets would send another player, possibly former Sixer Joe Smith, to the Sixers, and the Sixers would direct Iverson to Denver.

Denver would send forward Nene to the Trail Blazers and another player, possibly Joe Smith, back to the Sixers, in return for Philly's All-Star point guard. One of the deals King was strongly considering is with Golden State, for point guard Baron Davis, center Andris Biedrins and a third unidentified player. With two first-round picks in the 2007 draft, the Nuggets have positioned themselves in "the driver's seat" and are "leading the pack" against league rivals also looking to acquire Iverson, according to a source familiar with negotiations.
