February 8, 20206 yr The sportscasters in this town are a joke outside of Lance McAlister. Mo Egger is the clown of all clowns. Draft Burrow and work on improving your team as a whole and let chips fall where they may. Off topic but Mo Egger is the best there is in this area. Lance is good, but I like Mo better.
February 10, 20206 yr Author God love Paul Daugherty. He sang my song in his column today talking about Carson Palmer and the Bengals bashing regarding Joe Burrow coming to Cincinnati. Get Access If that link doesn't work, google Daugherty Carson Palmer 2 9 2020 and it should come up. Some of Docs' best comments in his column: "Apparently Palmer's eight years as a Bengal were a living hell. If hell can be defined as a place where a person can earn close to $85 million throwing a football." "Palmer says the Bengals aren't in the business of winning Super Bowls. Unlike, of course, the other two organizations for which Palmer played, the Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals. Who, since 1984, have as many Super Rings as Palmer does." Palmer bashes the Bengals ownership, yet he worked for Mark Davis and Bill Bidwell. "Bidwell was a cheapskate whose teams never won anything. In 58 years of at least co-owning the Cardinals, before his death in October 2019, his team made the playoffs eight times." "The last time the Raiders won a Super Bowl, Carson Palmer was 5. And now he's an expert on winning. I must have missed Carson Palmer:the New England Years." "Across the last decade: Bengals:77 wins, five playoff losses Chargers: 77 wins, 1 playoff win (against the Bengals) Chicago: 76 wins, 1 playoff win Arizona: 75 wins, 1 playoff win Detroit: 72 wins, 3 playoff losses Miami: 70 wins, one playoff loss New York Jets: 68 wins, 2 playoff losses Oakland: 63 wins, 1 playoff loss Washington: 62 wins, 0 playoff wins Tampa Bay: 59 wins, 0 playoff appearances Jacksonville: 51 wins, 2 playoff wins Cleveland: 42 wins, 0 playoff appearances" "Over the past 11 seasons in the AFC only the Pats (11) KC and Baltimore (7) have more playoff appearances than the Bengals who have 6..."
February 10, 20206 yr Author Here are some more Palmer stats: He played 8 seasons in Cincinnati and had 2 season of 10 or more wins. He played 7 seasons in Oakland and Arizona and had .... 2 seasons of 10 or more wins. In 8 seasons in Cincinnati, he had four seasons with a losing record. In 7 seasons outside of Cincinnati, he had four seasons with a losing record.

February 10, 20206 yr You both already hit on a lot of the same things I been saying on Twitter. It is ridiculous the narrative the national media is rubbing with. I have always been a Palmer, but come on people why are they listening to someone who hasn’t played for them in over ten years. Not to mention the Bengals has more overall success once he left and put together one of the most talented teams in the league during that stretch once he left. One of my other biggest issues is they are saying Burrow should force his way out so another team can get him. Well as mentioned what has these other teams drafting early in the draft who may want him done? Dan Patrick says Burrow should want to go to the Dolphins. The bengals have had more success over the last twenty years than the Dolphins. Not to mention the only thing attractive about the Dolphins right now is all the picks they have. Well for them to move up to get Burrow, they would be giving up a lot of those picks. So doesn’t that take away from the only thing that is attractive about them? The media is trying its best to make a story out of this and to get Burrow to not want to come here. Yet completely ignoring how bad these other franchises are. And perhaps the weather.

Hopefully all these poor lazy narratives the National media is saying doesn’t get Burrow to want to pull an Eli. However, one of the good things that is happening with all this, is it seems like it is actually bringing the Bengals fan base back together in a way. With the attack the National media is doing, both the fan base and even the local Bengal columnist and radio host are all firing back and defending the Bengals some from these lazy narratives. I truly think once Burrow actually meets with the Bengals and Zac Taylor, he will eventually come out and say he has no problem playing for the Bengals. With all this and getting Joe Burrow, it is going to bring people together and create some excitement for the first time since 2015.
February 20, 20206 yr Cowherd leads the show everyday with Burrow and Bengals. When he does that, I just turn him off.
February 20, 20206 yr Cowherd leads the show everyday with Burrow and Bengals. When he does that, I just turn him off. Then today he talks about how the Lions should take Tua! Where is the Tua deserves better, and he shouldn’t want to play for the Lions.
February 20, 20206 yr Author Then today he talks about how the Lions should take Tua! Where is the Tua deserves better, and he shouldn’t want to play for the Lions. And let there be no doubt the track record of the Lions organization is much worse than that of the Bengals. And I'm sure players with much rather go and live in Detroit then live in Cincinnati.
February 20, 20206 yr And let there be no doubt the track record of the Lions organization is much worse than that of the Bengals. And I'm sure players with much rather go and live in Detroit then live in Cincinnati. It literally feels like the national media has chosen to pretend the last twenty years haven’t happened, and that we just finished the 90s and this is 2000. Even Dan Patrick when talking about Bengal QBs, when trying to make his point that Burrow shouldn’t want to come here. Only brought up Klinger and Akili Smith and saying see what happened to them. Basically completely ignored how the Bengals basically have had two QBs for the last 17 years. Two guys that they drafted, guys who made pro bowls, won division titles, playoffs, and in the MVP race some years. Yet the media seems to ignore than and act like it is the 90s again when taking about the Bengals. Very frustrating. The one good thing is, that it should help motivate this team. I love seeing the players now stepping up and complaining about what the media is saying about them. It does set up nicely for extra motivation for Burrow and the players to prove everyone wrong.
February 23, 20206 yr Akili Smith?? REALLY?? Word I heard he was so poor at reading defenses the coaches gave him 1 read and said RUN if it’s not open!!!
February 24, 20206 yr Another thing about the Burrow sitting a year then entering the draft. He is already 23 and will turn 24 in the middle of the season. Sit out a year and he would turn 25 10-12 games into his rookie season.
February 26, 20206 yr Author Thank you Joe! Burrow blew up the lazy national media rant against the Bengals today. Any talking head mindlessly following the bitter Carson Palmer instigated rant was set straight today by Joe. I like everything I see and hear about Burrow. He is a leader that players will follow.
