It's been at Holmes the last two years, one of those years was CovCath's turn, but they opted to host it at Holmes.

It was at Holmes I believe if I remember correctly.

 

I forget from year to year who the host team is, but it seems that in the past at times if Beechwood was the host they would have the games played at Holmes anyway for the space.

Our Athletic Director indicated that tickets would be provided to each school at $5 each, no passes accepted. Whatever is not sold by the schools will be available at the door.

Correct. Cov Cath opted to host at Holmes in order to allow the teams to all earn a better gate with the capacity of Holmes' gym. Beechwood opted to hang on to their home court advantage.

I believe it should always be held at Holmes. You can even do it to where the "host school" can run concessions. It doesn't do Beechwoood, Holy Cross, nor Cov Cath any good to host this at their school.

I really don't know if this district will draw much interest anyway. Looks to be a pretty much cut and dried finish. I wouldn't fight over trying to get in at Beechwood anyway.

I think any fan of high school basketball would get to watch a heck of a good game seeing Cov Cath and Beechwood play.

Leading up to the game, all of the folks around NKY (who weren't from the Cov Cath crowd) thought Cov Cath was going to blow out Highlands on the football field this season too. How did that one go?

 

Beechwood vs. Cov Cath is a rivalry game, and in the district tourney, it's gonna be a good game. I highly doubt it would be a 20 point blowout by either team. Crazier things have happened...

 

I do know that both teams have played Campbell County fairly recently, Beechwood won by 5 points on 01/28, and Cov Cath won by 11 points on 01/08. That doesn't look like a recipe for a either team blowing out the other by my standards.
