gametime
I've been looking for awhile and I can't find where I said anything about Quinn in the NFL. I haven't found it. Please quote it for me. I don't believe the letters NFL were in my first post. That said, Quinn probably will be one of the top picks. I hope he enjoys it in Oakland and can get along with Moss. But just because he's picked near the top doesn't mean much. Look at Ryan Leaf. Great college QB, terrible NFL QB. Will Quinn be another Leaf? We'll find out in about a year. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. You can't say that he won't be a Leaf, because you don't know. I doubt many college QBs could be as bad as Leaf, but it can happen. Ryan Leaf is all you've got? Just let it go...
Hard Rock Fan
Haha, Shand Boyd couldn't put up those numbers against 6 high school teams. Yeah, you're right. What was I thinking?

gametime
Didn't know I had to make a Top 10 list. You don't like Quinn or ND. We get it. I don't like them either. For every name you throw out, a ND fan will have an equal name from the other side. And around and around we go. He plays for a guy that knows a thing or two about NFL QB's, and when he gets there next year he'll be as ready as guys named Palmer and Leinart... Hard Rock Fan
Who would you have put in over Notre Dame? Remember no one from the SEC or Big Ten can go, so that eliminates Arkansas, Auburn and Wisconsin. Looks like it's between WVU, Rutgers, Texas, Georgia Tech or California. Who do you think is more deserving? Wrong again. Quinn played the tougher schedule: Sagarin: ND-20, OSU-38, http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt06.htm NCAA: ND-41, OSU 42, http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/2006/Internet/toughest%20schedule/ia_9games_cumm.pdf Care to rethink your analysis because your SOS point seems to go against Smith and support Quinn? What's the next unfounded bash on Notre Dame? Who did ND beat? The only team they beat was then #19 Penn State. That's their big victory? They deserve a BCS game based on this? They got beat by 20, twice and you think they should play? West Virginia would kill them. Even a lot of the media were talking about it before the bowls were released, at how ND would get a BCS game just because they qualified for it. All ND has to do is be ranked in the top 14 or whatever, to be qualified for a BCS and they'll get it. I know that when they got beat down by Oregon State, there was at least one team that deserved it more than ND. If Quinn played at UK, and put up the numbers that he has right now, he'd never make it to NY. I mean, Couch's numbers were bigger, yet he barely made it when there were 4 candidates. nees1212
Quinn already thinks Smith has it locked up. When asked tonight on the ESPN College Football Awards why he deserved the award for the best college player over Smith, he made the comment that Smith will do just fine Saturday night. So yeah, I'd say, to me, Quinn is probably average. Please tell me where I said you said anything about the NFL..The above quote though why there says to you that Quinn is probably just average. So I brought up the NFL because there are plenty of PROFESSIONAL scouts and coaches who believe he is above average, and is ready to pay him a whole lot of money to QB their team...You really just need to give it up man, because you really make no good points at all in this post, and just sounds like someone who knows that they are wrong and just dont want to admit it...Yeah ok we know you hate ND, and dont believe they should be in the BCS and thats all find and good no body is arguing about that. But you are letting your hatred for ND blind you to the fact that Quinn is a very good QB, and if you just keep this up you are fighting a losing battle and you know that.... They also beat Georgia Tech who was a win away from a BCS birth, and beat UCLA a team that beat UCLA. But that is not what were arguing here, so I will leave that alone. Your post above just says it all, and is quite funny. You make it quite clear that you dont think ND should be in the BCS, but we are not talking about that we are talking about Quinn, so just because you dont think ND shouldn't be in the BCS seems to be the reason you have it out for Quinn and dont think he is a good QB... Your post got even funnier when you said if you put Quinn at UK and he had those numbers he wouldn't come close to New York, and you are right. But do you honestly think if you put Troy Smith at UK with his numbers do you think he would come close to New York either? You really have no points at all here, and you are just fighting a losing battle, so give it up already...

This will probably be my last response to this thread because I'm tired of arguing with you. You're probably the only person on here that I can't get along with. I don't know why that is. But that's the way it seems. You do have me figured out though. I don't like ND and I don't like Quinn. Nor do I think he deserves the Heisman. You keep talking about Smith a lot. Maybe you've overlooked the fact that I haven't mentioned Smith at all. I don't believe I've ever mentioned his name, much less said that he would be a good Heisman winner. He'll most likely win it, but only because he plays for the #1 team and there's a lack of quality competition. If I were to say who is truly deserving, I'm not sure. A lot of QBs have put up numbers comparable to Smith and Quinn. But Smith will probably win it, simply for the reasons I stated above.

So thats why we haven't gotten along here is because this argument was really weak and you kept wanting to try to force it. Its not like I am the only one who thinks this, I mean if you look at the other post by everyone else, they agree with me about Quinn...This post right here was your best post though, and if you just said this to begin with we would had never argued at all. So you really cant think of anyone that is deserving that is fine, you should have just said that, instead of just picking out one guy to put down just because you hate that team... Newcath37
Smith will win it this year. But unless he gets hurt Mcfaddon has next year's heisman locked up. He is a monster. He is Reggie Bush with 20 more lbs on him. I am not looking forward to him running over us at UK next year. don't think just yet. if Brohm comes back for his senior season, i wouldn't just give McFadden the trophy, he will have to put up some godly numbers to oust Brohm. RockPride
I could never stomach voting for Smith, because he was a proven cheater. Great player, great turnaround, but the Heisman is simpl special.
SirMixAlot
I thought there were 4 players who made the trip to New York ??? I believe it is usually 5 players who make the trip. I find only three players making the trip odd as well. Maybe they are saving people the trip knowing that the hesiman is all but won by Mr. Smith.
