newarkcatholicfan Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Minnesota (11-8, 5-4 Big) picks up their first road of the year by beating a Ohio State (12-7, 2-6 Conf) team, who is sinking faster than a 500 pound anchor in a very deep ocean. Kaleb Wesson (Westerville, Ohio) 2 points and 14 rebounds, for some reason threw up a three pointer, with the game tied and like he usually does when shooting threes missed. Marcus Carr (Toronto, ON) rebounded the horrible Wesson shot and easily raced up court and nailed a three pointer to put the Gophers up three with seven seconds left. Carr ended with 21 points and 7 boards. Andre Wesson (Westerville, Ohio) would throw the inbound deep down court and out of bounds ending any hopes of a miracle three point shot to tie this one up. Ohio State played three guys off of the bench and they combine to score 22 points, with Duane Washington Jr. (Grand Rapids, MI) hitting 5-12 shots to give him 12 points.
The Double Deuce Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Ohio State is officially a dumpster fire. They have lost 6 of their last 7 after being ranked in the Top 5 earlier in the year (as well as spending 3 weeks [Roughly] as the #1 team in the KenPom efficiency ranking).
futurecoach Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 OSU seriously was playing better than any team in the country at the start of the season and even pounding good teams. Now they can’t beat anyone, and it looks like really struggling to score points.

Them finishing at .500 in league play seems questionable, at best. An under .500 record in Big Ten play will leave them VERY NERVOUS on Selection Sunday. Can you imagine? This conversation would have had you arrested in early December.
newarkcatholicfan Posted January 24, 2020 Author Posted January 24, 2020 Maybe I am wrong but it does not appear you can win the Big, if you have no bench. Buckeyes rarely use the bench and when they do it's almost no help. And that is mostly because those guys are not on the floor much.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 OSU is starting to look like a bad loss on UK's schedule.
hrcarrier Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 No idea what’s happened with Ohio State based on how they began their season. Biggest puzzle of any college basketball teams IMO.
16thBBall Fan Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 I think the Buckeyes thought the season was over after beating Kentucky. They are 1-6 since the UK victory.
