December 4, 200619 yr Author Well, I don't think we should be arguing which crappy teams our conference scheduled are better. Michigan scheduled Notre Dame out of conference, highly ranked preseason, I will give them that. On the other hand, FSU was not exactly a bottom dweller preseason either. And I'm not. We scheduled 3 teams with winning records OOC. UF's claim to fame now is that their opponents have the highest winning percentage in the country. Much of that is due to their SEC wins against teams who played teams like Buffalo, 1AA teams, and the like.
December 4, 200619 yr Gene Wojciechowski, who lives in Big 10 country and went to school at Florida's rival Tennessee, thinks Michigan got jobbed? Who would have thunk it?
December 4, 200619 yr Author Gene Wojciechowski, who lives in Big 10 country and went to school at Florida's rival Tennessee, thinks Michigan got jobbed? Who would have thunk it? Yes, yes, I know. Can't you just let me have my little rant? We do have to provide SOMETHING that doesn't come from SEC country around here sometimes you know. Check out the other thread, trust me, there will be plenty not for Big 10 country that feel this way.
December 4, 200619 yr There will be crying every year, and most of the time it's justified, until they finally do the right thing, and have at least an 8 team playoff. There would be crying if they had a 64, no wait, 65 team playoff. By the way, I hate O$U and Florida equally, so I have decided to root for the refs. :walk:
December 4, 200619 yr Maybe the SEC has a better way of crowning their conference champions as well. The SEC can have teams meet twice in the same season maybe if the Big 10 had that as well you could have Michigan and Ohio State again but if you don't want a conference championship game you don't deserve to play them again for a national championship.

December 4, 200619 yr So the Big 11 should be punished for saying no to the ultimate level of greed in NCAA football? Classic... They say no to the BCS? What an awful idea for a champion of one part of a conference to play the champion of the other part of the conference. That's close to being a tournament what a radical idea.

That's close to being a tournament what a radical idea. The Big 11 has refused going to a split division system. They also refuse to add the 12th team needed to do so. What was your argument again? Greed should prevail? Got it...

No, if you want a rematch with your conference opponent on a "Neutral Field" then have a Conference title game. Or maybe we should continue to have the Big 10 co champions like we did in the 2002 season with Ohio State and Iowa going undefeated in the conference and not playing each other. Just take the top two teams in the conference and make a title game. It's not that hard. So your argument would be as long as Michigan loses to Ohio State by 14 pts or less in there regular season game there is nothing anyone else can do but watch.

What in the world are you trying to say? 33 Coaches changed their vote today. Was it because they thought Florida was NOW better than Michigan? Or was it because USC lost to UCLA? I'll wait for a logical response. I won't hold my breath to get it...

Michigan was still #2 in the BCS after they lost to Ohio State then USC over took them as well. Why is this such a big deal? There is no rule that says you must lose in a certain week for someone to over take you in the polls.

There is no rule that says you must lose in a certain week for someone to over take you in the polls. What did Florida do to prove they were better THIS week? That's what it boils down to. Was it the win over Arkansas? OR the USC choke job to UCLA? The SEC Title game did not put Florida in the real title game. Sad but true. And tell Marge, Lisa and Bart hello...
December 4, 200619 yr Basically, the voters thought Michigan was better but put Florida in the title game to avoid a rematch.
December 4, 200619 yr Basically, the voters thought Michigan was better but put Florida in the title game to avoid a rematch. The numbers from last week and this week make that clear. I don't see how people miss that single major issue...
