Garrard has 4 guys out due to injury and 4 guys out due to sickness (FLU). They only have 17 players on the roster total. All but one of those guys, are Varsity Players. They gave some potential reschedule dates, and were not accepted. Hence, the 30 PT loss to Russell Co this past Sat. And this was pre-illness that happened Monday. Unfortunate circumstance for both teams.

Sounds like a bad situation. So to fully understand does Garrard dress 17 guys on their varsity bench? If so the other 9 guys dress but can't play in a game? How are they going to play a game Friday if they can't play Tuesday?

I understand the health issue, but wouldn’t it benefit the JV player development to play the game. Even if you take a whipping the experience could play dividends later in the season as depth. Just looking from a coaching perspective.

Is that a new rule? I have seen in the books at high school games were they have had 16 or 17 in the book. They would double up on the last 2 lines in the book.

Only 15 can dress in post-season play. I haven’t heard anything about it switching to that for the regular season.

See, that was the interesting thing. The tweet stated they will be traveling to Mercer County for the 2A, not playing them, so I am unsure who will actually be playing.
