It begins west of the central business district at 12th and Rowan, then goes eastwardly under the river until about 2nd Street, then it goes under dry ground (ESE) to where it ends at approximately Lexington and Grinstead. Total distance is about 4 miles.

December 17, 20196 yr Author How long has it been there? MSD started the project in late spring 2018. They had to dig a 230 foot deep access shaft straight down, then they dropped their tunneling machine and equipment and started working on drilling the tunnel. They have to be completed on the project by the end of 2020 to maintain compliance with the 1971 Clean Water Act.
