Do you think BG’s defense can’t stop him? I don’t think he’s played against a better defense than he would see with the Purples this year. Should be interesting.

I think the cold weather and the coaches game plans/play calling will have a lot to do with how these teams play. It’ll be a chess game between these 2 coaches.

Bowling Green is by far the more talented team and that includes if Veltkamp plays. It will be a huge failure if BG can't win this game. South Warren will be well coached, but BG is way more talented top to bottom. South Warren struggles against Greenwood.

 

As long as BG stays focus, doesn't the turn the ball over, sticks with one QB and the offensive play caller doesn't tighten up BG wins by at least 14 if not more. I am thinking 21-7 something like that.

 

BG played terrible in the first game with South Warren and still found away to win by a couple of scores.

I agree. And Brandon Smith has proven that he will win more of these chess games than he will lose. If he has his QB back on Friday I expect them to win.

I'm not sure that BG has more talent or not. They have a couple kids that are truly great. South has pretty incredible depth, but not a lot of superstars. Almost 1/3 of South's starters are sophomores. I honestly think that South's defense is better overall. During the first game, they held BG to 0 points in the first half. And the fact that South's offense turned the ball over 5 times and BG could only gain 2 touchdowns during the game speaks volumes. If South can get their passing game going, they will win. If they rely fully on the run, as they did in the first game, BG will probably advance.
