With this win over SK, Little Miami leap frogs into the Ohio playoffs just past Winton Woods. Winton Woods is a top 5 team in Cincy and finish 6-3. They had a team back out to play them, thus hurting them by not playing a tenth game this year.

Tough loss for SK, outscored 34-7 in the second half.

How do out of state opponents count in Ohio computer rankings? I’ve read how the Ohio system works but can’t find how out of state opponents are factored.

Just saw on KHSAA scoreboard that SK gave up 494 passing yards. Would like to hear more about this. I know it might be painful to relive, but can any Pioneers share a little specifics? Must have been some collassol(sp?) homeruns!

First level points for out of state school opponents are assigned a point value based upon the male enrollment. Second level points are awarded based upon the point value of the out of state school multiplied times the number of victories by the out of state school.

Winton Woods three losses were to Elder, Cleveland St. Ed’s and Christian Brothers out of Missouri. Three really good teams and they get left out of the playoffs. Had they scheduled two wins and only played 1 of those teams, who are all really good, they would have made the playoffs. Kind of dumb.

I was told that Little Miami was the team that dropped them and picked up SK. If that is the case I think there was some strategy in that move. Winton Woods would beat LM by 30-40 points. The Ohio system is terrible. Every year power House teams get left out.
