Yea im sure some of the players like them because of the simple fact that the Hockmans didnt make anybody do anything on that team! Thats why he isnt coaching Ryle anymore, he went 2-8 one season with a very very talented team ,Great coach right? He didnt do anything while he was here and Bryson and Co. made it to the state finals in FOUR YEARS! I think he mistaked Ryle with a flag football team!(joking)

I don't know Hockman from Bryson, but if you are hanging our hat on Bryson taking his team to the final unlike Hockman you are on shaky ground. This is the first year that NKY 4A had a path to the final that didn't include a date with the Rocks. Old system, same result IMO. I firmly believe that this Ryle team would have finished third or fourth in either Louisville district. JMO.

I as actually talking to a former Hockman player the other day at the Trinity-Ryle game. His team may have been the best team at Ryle (talent wise they didnt benefit off a very easy draw) But it was the team that lost to Trinity in Overtime and he said nothing but good thanks about Hockman! I guess this is just a difference in sources! and opinions! Lets see what Bryson does over a couple of years. I know his first couple years the players did not like him AT ALL! Its alot easier to like a coach when he is winning!

Did you have an experience with the Hockams? They havent been around in a while?

I am no Ryle history buff but from my understanding Hockman was an underachiever.

The players i agree didnt like him because Warner knew what it would take to win, thats discipline, hard work, and determination, something the players didnt understand becuase the Hockmans didnt install it!

It's time for football people to realize that just because Trinity likes to throw the ball they can still line up and smack the opponent right in the mouth.

You have to do what gives you the best chance to win. Honestly... if Ryle game out in the shotgun or something like that the game would have been much worse. Ball and clock control is how these teams got there, can't fault them for doing what they do best, even if it's not good enough.

Could the lack of caring, so to speak, have anything to do with their coaching style?

It came off like you clearly were stating that the Ryle kids didn't care.

Bryson and Co. are a better coaching staff, still very young but are just better. End of Discussion for me.
