Is the 13 point loss to CovCath a moral victory for Highlands?

Featured Replies

I think it is on the cusp of a moral victory for Highlands but I also agree with a poster in the game final thread when he pointed out the CovCath offense was ultra vanilla tonight  meaning... you know what it means.

I will ask the question again, is the 13 point loss to CovCath a moral victory for Highlands?

I sure hope not. Highlands should not ever have a moral victory...unless they’re playing a professional football team.

900+ wins and 23 state titles. They’ve beat CCH like 50 times. That’s a proud program. No moral victories.

I hear what you are saying but that all was the past.

So the idea is Cov Cath wasn’t trying hard or the score would be worse? It’s definitely 2019.

May God help Highlands if anyone in Ft Thomas calls tonight a moral victory.

CCH was trying hard. Highlands played inspired run defense.

Honestly, wouldn't God be more likely to be on CovCath's side in this debate?

Absolutely, very impressive.

God doesn’t care about religious affiliation. But, I understand the humor. Touché.

I think if you get shut out it’s not much of a moral victory. A defense holding a team to 0 is a dominating performance.

What about a moral victory for the defense?

You could say the defense played well but since it is a team game a very bad offense performance kind of cancels it out.
