However they still are not considered a powerhouse.

 

What does Louisville have to do to be considered a powerhouse? They have been in the top 10 most of the season (ranked as high as #3). They finished the 2004 season ranked #6, finished 2005 in the top 15. They can't get home and home series with many of the traditional "powerhouses" and have begun resorting to offering away games as an inducement.

Do it for 10 years. Staying power makes you a traditional powerhouse and takes more than 2 or 3 seasons. They're on their way, just not perceived as such yet. First year or two that they were moving, being in the Conference USA hurt them.
