This is a very intriguing matchup. I believe Lloyd's new coach came from Boone Co. Add that factor into Boone Co. now sitting at 2-0, hoping to get to 3-0.

 

The last time Boone Co won 3 or more games in a season was 2011. That season Boone Co made it to the 6A state semifinals and lost to Scott Co 16-14.

I like that Boone has won two straight, but neither outcome really suggests they are a dominant team.

 

I like Lloyd in a tight one.

I like the Juggs in a close one.

Lloyd lost a lot of talent to graduation. Boone lost some talent and leadership from last year's seniors, but not as much as Lloyd.

 

Boone had some solid sophomores starting last season who are stepping up this year. I like the defense I saw from Boone in the last half of the Holmes games.

 

But Lloyd's win over Walton Verona and a low score loss against Scott speak for them in this contest. This game may be in doubt late in the game, but I'm going with Boone.
