What 6A team not listed in Top 10 will make an impact in 2019?

What Non Top 10 team in Class 6A will make some noise in 2019? What makes you think this team could do so?

Maybe Tates Creek, Henry Clay, or Central Hardin since they all return their QB, but would be tough sledding against those top 10 teams to make serious noise.

Central Hardin returns 22 seniors this year. Senior QB Chase Elmore 6'3" 195, threw the ball well and made great decisions as Central Hardin won the Southern HS 7vs7 several weeks ago. He also plays FS and is the leader on the defensive side of the ball. Central Hardin is also talented at the other skill positions returning Gavin George 6'5" 190 (RB,DB), Deonco Wilkerson (RB, DB), Shaun Hay 6'4" 225 (TE,DE). The key to the season for Central Hardin will be staying healthy after a nightmarish season last year when they went through 5 players at the QB position and had a rash of injuries at other key skill positions. The development of the offensive and defensive line as the season progresses is another key to a successful season and challenging North Hardin for the district title. Central Hardin's schedule sets up nicely as they are home for 5 games and are also local for games at rivals Elizabethtown and John Hardin. I believe that it will come down to the North Hardin Game in week 9 to determine the 2nd district. Realistic expectations are for Central Hardin to go 7-3.

Good Luck HCP! Hope you have a great season!

I know it's early, but I'm saying Dixie Heights is a team to look for in NKY. Only one win last season. That team was young and kids had a lot of Varsity minutes, yet they were competitive. A senior leader QB 6'5" 205 lbs. Also hearing their kicker may be getting some SEC offers. They have a big scrimmage against Boone County this evening and that should give some indication of if I'm off base. Dixie may be a a dark horse this season.

I’m a little bias in this, but I think my Oldham County Colonels good really go far in the playoffs. They return majority of there starters on both sides of the ball, and have 23 seniors bitting at the lip to better there 10-2 record of last year. The schedule is a little harder but with the district there in not being that strong, I believe they can go far in the playoffs.

Ryle was a massive disappointment last season.

Expect major improvement this year.

I think Oldham County has the potential to make noise....the Colonels must adjust to a far more difficult schedule than last year and sophomore qb sam young - one of the most talented passers i have seen at so young of an age in a while - will be key as he matures. Coach Mike Fox has the numbers on the sideline to platoon and plenty of returning experience. Parker Caudill's move from qb to the slot gives Oldham a new and very dangerous receiver. If the Colonels stay focused when they hit the bumps this schedule will undoubtedly produce, they have serious potential.

I expect Ryle to be better this season as well.

With all do respect and not being snarky at all, it seems like we expect a lot from Ryle every season but never seem to get what we expect. Does anyone have a reason why?

I thought last year they would have growing pains. They was still a very young team in my opinion, even though they had a few upperclassmen.
