As a corollary to the "comic strip" thread, what about comic books? Off the top of my head, these were my favorites back in the day:

 

A. Fantastic Four

2. Justice League of America

D. The Incredible Hulk

The Avengers. Needless to say, I was geeked when the movie franchise was launched.

The Amazing Spider-Man. I actually still collect the series, though I haven't actually read what I've bought in quite some time.

I don't think I ever bought a comic book. I read some on occasion but never bought one.
