May 10, 20197 yr If no one else is going to start it I will. The Reds travel to San Francisco for a 3 game series against the Giants. Hoping the Reds go there with a bad taste in their mouths after they split a series that should have been a 4 game sweep. Tonight (10:10PM): Luis Castillo vs Dereck Rodriguez Tomorrow (9:05PM): Anthony DeSclafani vs Jeff Samardzija Sunday (4:05): Tyler Mahle vs Madison Bumgarner
May 10, 20197 yr Hope they take care of business this weekend! Two big home series next week and they need to be on the right track!
May 11, 20197 yr I know I've said this before, but I can't seem to let this go. This is utterly stupid to have two teams play each other within this short amount of time. There are approximately 54 series played during the year, are you telling me that you can't put more than 3 or 4 days in between when two teams have to play each other for two series? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
May 11, 20197 yr Don't know if it will be productive or not, but I like this lineup... Senzel Votto Suarez Winker Puig Deitrich Iglesias Castillo Barnhart
May 11, 20197 yr At least the Reds don't have to put up with Posey this weekend. Great, you've just assured his backup will go 7 for 12 with 5 RBI's against us. Thanks, man.
May 11, 20197 yr So Peraza continues to get jacked around. They are going to ruin him and he showed a lot of promise last year for a young guy.
May 11, 20197 yr So Peraza continues to get jacked around. They are going to ruin him and he showed a lot of promise last year for a young guy. He's run into the perfect storm against him. - He started out slowly - Dietrich has provided some much needed pop from the left-side - Iglesias has been really successful at the plate Take away any of those three, and Peraza is probably playing more, if not at second, then at short. But, as it is right now, he's the odd man out.
May 11, 20197 yr Wow, Giants CF face plants into the wall and drops what would've been a sensational catch off the bat of Senzel. Instead Senzel's at third, and two more are in.
May 11, 20197 yr Castillo goes 6, only gives up 2 hits, strikes out 11. Can the pen hold down a 4 run lead for the final 3?
May 11, 20197 yr Jose Iglesias with another brilliant play...this one from short right-center field. Just unbelievable.
May 11, 20197 yr Iglesias with another defensive gem. Then on the next pitch, Suarez with an outstanding defensive play.
May 11, 20197 yr Reds playing add on in the 9th. Puig with 2 RBI, and Farmer with another. Both coming with 2 outs. Peralta likely coming in to close it out, now with a 7 run lead.
