Reds vs. Giants (5/3 - 5/6)

I wondered why you would make that point with the vets on the bench. Yes, VanMeter hits left handed.

Thanks.

Votto now 3-6 with a walk in his last 7 plate appearances. How huge it would be for him to finally get rolling a little bit.

Sometimes all it takes is that check swing single in yesterday's game and the infield single like today to get someones confidence going again.

Actually, he has done better...much, much better. Left handers batting .261 against him. Right handers only .130.

Here's an amazing stat...Garrett has only faced 5 batters more than Duke this year. FIVE!

THAT is an unreal stat!!

Well it is usually around this time when he starts getting it going. Yet every April for like the last 6 years, people get all crazy thinking it won't happen this time.

Easy guys, the three hits has been two bloopers and a infield single. Not actually stung the ball yet. Let's get a rip city before jumping back on the band wagon.

For those that didn't see it, he busted his tail down to first to beat that one out. There are a TON of guys who would've coasted to first once they saw the second baseman circling in behind it, and there'd never be a negative comment about it. Kudos to perhaps the slowest Red for hustling it out.

I agree he did. Just like when Igelias quit running on his triple earlier in the game. Players today need some film of Pete Rose running the bases to learn how to run them.

And here we go again. Disco gives up 3-run HR to the Panda. 7-4 now.

Why do we always walk the guy before giving up a HR?

Iglesias with a bases loaded single, scores 2 to make it 9-4.

Casali follows with an RBI single...now 10-4.

VanMeter gets his first RBI...by getting hit. 11-4

Pitching change. Bases still loaded.

Senzel takes strike three right down the middle.
