Ohio State 42 Michigan 39

Featured Replies

Im saying I thought it would be a low scoring game. I agree another game would be a shoot out. It was in doubt up until OSU recovered the onside kick. Trust me Ohio State fans were sweating it out. My friend is a die hard OSU fan season ticket holder all of that and he beleives they would beat the Chicago Bears and he was in major panic mode up until after the kick. He was relaxed a little bit at halftime but in the second half he was very nervous.

Never mind, I misread your previous statement. Sorry 'bout that.

Instant Classic! As a fan of college football, I couldnt have asked for a better game to watch....just wish the outcome was just a littttttttle bit different.

Troy Smith has all but put the Heisman trophy on the mantle.

Another loss for LLLLLoyd!

For anyone that is interested this game is being shown on espn classic right now.

It should be equally official that Michigan is #2 and should face O$U in the National Championship...

Don't they say home field advantage is worth 4 points in college football?

I respect your opinion on this and I put my opinion on a re match for the National Title on the thread in this forum pertaining to that. I first thought that they should but after thinking about it some I changed my mind and explained my reasons in that thread. Basically what it boiled down to was w/o a playoff this game was essentially a semi final game for the National Title with Ark., Fla., N.D., USC all playing one another at some point the rest of the way out being the other semi finals. JMO and Meat-Chicken would also have a good argument for it. Just imo they had their chance and didn't win.

Does anyone think it is a coincidence that yesterdays Ohio Lottery Pick 4 was 4239? I smell a conspiracy.

If that late hit flag is not thrown late in the fourth Michigan wins, because ohio state was up by 4 on their own 40 3rd and 12 or 13 and troy smith rolled out, the pass was incomplete and one of the michigan line man hit troy "late" the hit came right after troy smith released the ball i don't know how you call this in this situation, in the biggest game of the year (national championship in my mind). I just don't see how they could call that.

By the way what is Lloyd's job situation now is he going to get fired?

If you are talking about the hit on Smith along the sidelines imo it definately should had been called. He was out of bounds and it was a helmet to helmet shot. Carr was tearing the official after that when imo he should have been ripping into his LB for the stupid play! He is really lucky that the kid didn't get ejected, they could have very easily booted him. JMO

It is not official when the # 2 gets beat and the teams under them win. The # 2 must drop a few places and pay the price for the "Agony of Defeat".

If the UM player had not hit Smith with his Helmet; I don't think it would have been called . It wasnt that late of a hit Smith was still in bounds although it would of still been close. But that one play didnt lose it for Michigan.

How bad are the other Big 10 offenses if OSU and UM's defenses were so highly touted? 42-39? Heck, these two teams didn't score this many points against bad Big 10 teams.

Huh? Coming into the game, Ohio State was averaging 37 points a game against the The Big Televen. 3 times scoring 40+.

With that said the it is a dissapointing year (Offensively) for the Big 10 conference. None more so than Iowa.
