Ok that’s the rule fine but then the question would be why or what possible reason would Coach Simpson not want to have it on Saturday.

The problem is not with him it’s the rule. One coach or school should not be able to dictate what all the other schools have to do. Heck it only takes a majority of schools to vote to seed a district instead of a draw yet it takes a unanimous vote just to hold a regional meeting. Unreal

You’re probably right. And since they play virtually no defense, they don’t need to prepare for one specific opponent.

 

They played awfully good defense in the 29th final. I was impressed - much better than anything I've seen from them this year. That was a really enjoyable game to watch, and honestly, I thought South's defense was the difference in a five point game.

 

Still, South will always surrender a few more points than most teams because of their style of play. They score so fast, the opponent gets more opportunities to score themselves.

 

That said, this year's South defense is not quite up to the level of South defenses the past six years...

This isn’t the first year the tournament has started on a Monday, and yes Colonel, the draw has always been on a Sunday as far back as I remember. That goes back almost 50 years.
