Josh is a great QB and an even better leader!!! Josh kept the team pumped up, they never gave up!

Believe it or not two of these captains are O-line. That just shows how much leadership thier is from the offensive line.

Abbreviated QUOTE from Covercorner...... Looked like the first and last Cov Cath touchdowns came with miscommunications in the Lex Cath coverage. Two defenders ended up on one reciever while the TE (#35 maybe) took off uncovered.....

 

I think that it was also excellent play calling by Cov Catholic that led to the wide open receivers. Remember, Lex Catholic never plays a zone and are always in man. Cov Catholic would run two clearing routes on the lexington catholic corners and delay a back or TE into the cleared area while Lex catholic had no linebacker to fill that area because he was sent on a blitz. Of course executing these plays required excellent offensive line blocking by Cov Catholic to provide the time needed for those delay routes... not enough can be said for the Cov Catholic offensive (and defensive) lines, they were impressive!

Totally agree with this. The Lex Cath defense had a hard time adjusting. Whatever Coach R.'s scheme is, it is very difficult to defend. Hats off to the Cov Cath offensive staff.

Agreed GPop, mid way through the year I thought the O-Line was getting dominated by the likes of Dixie and NewCath and did'nt have good thoughts of the group going forward. But they have gotten better every week to the point where Josh has had a ton of time and the line keeps opening bigger holes for Buck and Brandon each week. That coupled with the fact that the light went on in the 1st playoff game for Bleser and he is just a different guy. It's amazing the difference in a players performance when they take a team on their shoulders and win a big game. He absolutely did that in the first HHS game and has been oustanding ever since and he has to have a VERY high confidence level right now in himself and the players around him
