HEY, that's my line ..."The Mighty Mighty Titans" Sorry, couldn't get online last night, too much celebrating going on! Good job coaches, awesome boys!

Go ahead and size the rings for Mercer.

Trust me. The Titans aren't looking past Owensboro Catholic. It was evident that they were completley focused last night. They dismantled a very good team. But, they know that doesn't give them a bye next week. It's another battle to be fought!

Great job Mercer. Everyone really did their job tonight. The players and coaches have done such a great job of focusing on the moment. Keep it up, one game at a time. OC is coming to town. Let's get ready.

I think it was evident last night that Mercer is not overlooking anyone or ordering any rings. They were completely focused on the game at hand. In fact this might have been the most emotion since LCA or Boyle Co. And.... Donald Walker did not even play. Pretty scary! I thought the defense really stepped up against a terrific Larue Co. offense. the QB for Larue Chris Singleton??? I think was a very nice athlete. The difference was the inability of Larue defense to even slow down the Titans. Great Effort fellas two central Kentucky teams with opportunities to win it all. Hats off to the Admirals as well. We will be cheering for both teams again Friday.

Here is an article for this game.

Very impressive win this late in the playoffs.

No kidding. A team winning by that much this far in the playoffs is something to be feared.

I would like to pose a question though...

Which win does everyone feel is more impressive, Mercer completely dominating Larue.... or Belfry dismantling a #3 Middlesboro?

One thing the final score of Belfry/Middlesboro doesn't show was that Belfry was up 42-12 early in the 3rd quarter and ran the fullback dive nearly exclusively the remainder of the game. The Pirates could very have easily scored 60+ on Middlesboro.

Either way, both wins are super impressive for this far in the year and the quality of teams playing.

Anybody ranking Middlesboro at #3 was delusional ...

I wander, after they win the 2A could there be a game set up with the 3A state champs and the 4A state schampe and heck throw in the 1A state champs let them beat up all of them and had a ring thats 2006 state champs class 1-4A

I completely agree. This is super impressive for Belfry, and bodes bad for Russell.

I think this happens because most of us are conditioned to think that Belfry will win their games. It's expected, therefore overlooked.
