It is encouraged to say that a candidate better represents your views and morals but parties are here to elect members of their party and not to represent any particular person's views. The RNC is in charge of getting Republicans elected. Geoff Davis is elected to represent the views of his constituents. BIG, BIG difference.

November 17, 200619 yr Delay has NOTHING to do with this argument but I do admire the way you try to spin the topic. The Republicans have taken their lumps, they lost majorities. The new Dem Speaker to be has promised that this will be the most non-corrupt congress ever yet she seems poised to appoint an impeached judge to chair a very important comittee and she supported a man whose ethics have been questioned as majority leader. Doesn't seem very non-corrupt to me.

Jim Schue's response regarding Tom Delay is not spin at all - rather, he is merely pointing out the hypocrisy wherein some BGPer's defended DeLay's tactics and complete lack of morals, yet might now wish to attack Pelosi. In essence, if one wishes to call Pelosi a liar, based on the difference between her statements and her actions, then they may well be justified in doing so. Hopefully, those that choose this path don't have a history on this site of defending DeLay - lest they be seen as hypocrites. Frances

Apparently, Rove is also being named. If this is true, it would appear that several members of the newly empowered party may, in fact, be "DeLayed" of their own accord ... Frances
