Trinity has new baseball field nearing completion. It looks to be very nice. Twitter Link has pictures of it.

I believe it will also be used by St. Matthews little league, since on their property. Partnership between the two.

My understanding is that the field turf is specifically designed for baseball and contact sports won't be able to play on it. I can't wait to see it in person. I think it will be the finest high school facility in town.

Images I saw look like all turf except the pitcher's mound. The all turf baseball field seems to be catching on. The first one I saw was the Florence Freedom minor league field. Beechwood now has all turf baseball (including the pitcher's mound). What other schools have gone all turf for baseball?

UofL has had turf on their baseball field since Jim Patterson Stadium opened in 2005.

Is it all turf including infield, batter's boxes and pitcher's mound?

Only thing that is real is the mound. Everything else is turf.

Which is big. 1. Hardly any field maintenance and 2. hardly any rain outs.

And perfect hops 99% of the time.

Whoa, I had no idea they were building a stadium. Where is it located? Looks from the photos on Twitter to be adjacent to one of the expressways.

Off Shelbyville Road, across from St. Matthew's Mall, behind that shopping center.

You are correct. I've been to the Cal Ripkin complex in Myrtle Beach and the same is true. It can spoil your infielders.
