Disagree all you want. The score and the stats prove my point. HC didn't lose a tight one that night, they got whipped by a better team. It happens every year. Some programs brag about their players while teams continiue to defeat those guys on their way to titles.

Also, "Sam is close, but not Beatty". Close? In what way?

FYI, this game may never take place.

Beatty has more kids, coaches, support, state titles, and of a selection of kids to choose from. Trinity benefits from a Private school enviroment any way you want to put it. Kudos because they do an excellent job of playing team ball. The fan base helps too. With what Sam has to take due to school district and what limitless boundaries beatty has to choose from, I'd say Sam is close. I think this will be decided next week on Fontaine Rd. Good luck against Male. HC rest their starters in this one midway through the third quarter.

Are you sure you were at THIS year's scrimmage between GRC and the Devils? From my recollection, GRC held their own very well- and HC had a little difficulty with them then. I do agree that they are more playoff tested and experienced- but fortunately for us GRC fans, the game will be played on Friday night and not in the Herald-Leader or on here! It is the postseaon and anything is possible- ask some other teams who thought they'd be playing HC on Friday night or beating them to get here. Looking forward to seeing ya'll at our place . . . . we'll have the hot chocolate ready!:D

Yes, and from what i saw, GRC couldn't cover Jeter or Boyd at all. Each of them dropped two WIDE OPEN passes behind everyone. The only difficult that i seen any player on HC having in that scrimmage was the altercation that occured. And another note for ya, Minnifield didn't even dress for the scrimmage. And we all know how that is when he's added in. Please don't tell me that he wouldn't have made that much of a difference? You'll get to see him friday night though.

If one were to compare HC and T last year HC had more talent. The game was lost before it was even played when the coaching staff at HC made the decision not to run the ball from start to finish on a Rock defense that was not good against the run. Instead HC wanted to pass the ball which for the first time in a long while the rocks had two outstanding ahteltes in the secondary and a third that was coming into his own. This was not smart football. I have seen from the field and the stands many teams out think themselves leading upto a game with Trinity. HC is a fine program we shall see what this year holds for both teams after friday night.

This is a Henry Clay/GRC thread if you want to start one about Trinity and HC please do so.Thanks:thumb:

I hope Clark County doesn't get down early because Sam Simpson will kick you while your down. If he gets up big get ready because Henry Clay will be kicking onside kicks. Don't ask me why but they will run the score up like no one else will if they are given the chance.

GRC for the WIN:fight: :fight: :fight:

Key word..."if"

Again, Clark County is a team that has proven to be one dimensional. Unless they change their year long tendancies, they run the football a great majority of the time with very little first and second down passing attempts. This is not the kind of attack that will succeed against Henry Clay's defense. Henry Clay will stack the box against a predictable team and force them into third and long and a necessary pass. They can effectively defend this situation. It is the more balanced run and pass teams (Lafayette, Christian County) who gives this defense fits.

The muddy field will slow the Henry Clay offense down a bit, but they still have way too many perimeter weapons. I feel the Blue Devil running game will have a lot of success, as the Cardinals attempt to stop the pass.

Henry Clay is getting better and will pull away in this matchup, in my opinion.
