USC is #3...

Thanks for pointing out my typo. I was thinking along the lines of team to get the spot after this weekend.

I would like to see Arkansas get the winner. It wouldnt be the best 2 teams but how many times is it the best 2 teams?

As long as USC beats Cal and still has one loss when they and Notre Dame play. Then I say the winner from the USC vs. Notre Dame game will play the winner from the OSU vs. UM game...

There is a chance especially if OSU loses in a close game, but I know I dont want to see it. They say that the regular season is college footballs version of the playoffs. So if the team that loses it is like losing a playoff game, and you shouldn't get a chance to come right back around and play that game again...

 

College football has to get a true playoff system, that is the most fair and best way to crown a true National Champion...

I find it interesting that some, not saying you in particular FC, argue for a playoff system, but say that an OSU/Mich rematch would be bad for football. I see the logic in the split championship argument, but in theory if OSU and Mich were to meet in the championship game of a playoff, could we not have the same scenario? What then? I don't buy the "give someone else a shot" argument. You have to earn your shot. I just don't see anyone that would be more deserving than the loser of a close OSU/Mich game.

Talk about a travesty. Supposing that UM were to lose to OSU, and ND win, then the Irish would get in over a team that blew them out? Talk about bad for college football..........then the regular season really wouldn't mean anything.

I am not discrediting their skill, but they will have beaten up on the same conference, OSU didn't even have to play Wisconsin....that's weird to me. They should have to play a power from another conference to win the championship.

If OSU gets blown out like ND did, then maybe they aren't. I don't see that happening though. My point is that it is a tough sell for ND at this point. Realistically I think they need UM to blow out OSU and they need to take care of USC handily to have a shot. The big loss to UM, combined with several other VERY close games against GT, MSU, and UCLA make it tough to contend that they are more deserving. Personally, I hope you beat the pants off USC, because then we can have the rematch.

And Florida didn't play Arkansas............its what happens when you play in a conference with more than 8 teams.

Unlike the weak Big Ten, two teams wouldn't make it through the SEC unbeaten.
