It will never happen but I'd love to see either IU upset Michigan or Northwestern upset OSU and then have the one that was upset beat the other one to really mess things up but I doubt it could ever happen. It would be sweet to have about 10 one loss teams and an undefeated Boise State team and see the BCS try to sort that mess out.

If Michigan beast tOSU in a close game, then I think there will be a rematch. BUT, if tOSU beats Michigan, I think they will play the SEC champ....given that the SEC champ only has one loss.

No. It is just if Michigan wins by 1 in the regular season matchup...and then OSU wins by 1 in the rematch...the fans would never rest...you can bet on that. Whoever loses that regular season matchup, will have had their shot, plain and simple, it is then someone else's turn.

There's no point in it. The winner of that game shouldn't have to win it twice. I'll say it right now...if they play this game twice, the loser of the first matchup will be your BCS champion.

Florida and Texas are neck and neck...I imagine one of those two will claim that spot, if the loser of the Michigan/OSU game falls far enough. I'm not good at predicting how the computer rankings and things will shake out, but if USC starts to click and scores impressive wins over Cal and Notre Dame, I wouldn't write them out of the picture just yet. I guess the next 2 or 3 weeks will "straighten" it out....as straight as a BCS game can be anyway.

 

But, I agree. I really hope we don't get a rematch. A rematch from an early season game, like OSU/Texas isn't so bad. But, to end the season by playing the same team twice isn't good. And, IMO, it isn't fair to the winner of the first meeting.

keep in mind, it is also when you lose...wrong? Maybe, but true...it certainly can hurt U of L this year as well.
