To the surprise of absolutely no one, the annual regional final rematch between CAL (12-0) and DeSales (11-1) is on again. This makes eight consecutive years that these two teams have met twice in the same season. In five of those eight meetings, the regular season loser turned the tables in the postseason. The Centurions have allowed a 2A low 71 points and haven't really displayed any glaring vulnerabilities this season. At this juncture, CAL looks to be a clear favorite, but that hasn't always mattered in this rivalry in year's past.

Depends on which DeSales team shows up. If it's the team that beat St X, and Butler,

then it might be a pretty good game. If it's the team that limped by Washington Co, then we'll get our doors beat off. I'm not taking too much stock in last weeks close game against Newport Central Catholic. If anything, I think it helps.

Agreed.. but my gut tells me DeSales brings their A game for this one

We better bring our A+ game....we need all our guys healthy to give us a shot of upsetting CAL.

14 points in regulation is not going to be enough in my opinion to beat CAL and I think CAL's defense is better than NewCath's. If DeSales is going to beat CAL their offense is going to have to be a lot more effective.

I wonder what it feels like to play a regional final against a cupcake? These two certainly don’t know

DeSales 24-21.

lol And we still won't know for the foreseeable future.

No sympathy for either of these schools. Just enjoy your facilities, budget, and pool of athletic talent that is a step above just about every other school in your class.

I don't know how CAL doesn't win this one. Have watched several games of both on huddle. Outside of Wright for CAL, I really like their RB. Runs extremely hard and it usually takes two or three guys to bring him down. Both teams appear to have mobile QBs that can extend plays. Should be a dandy. I'll take CAL by 2 touchdowns.
